Presentations format

Your preference

When you submit your full paper, you will have the possibility to express your preference regarding the presentation format (poster or oral). The same facility is available again when you register online to the conference. In both cases, please remember that the secretariat may not be able to accommodate your preference, due to organization constraints.

Language

The official language of the FuSeM 2009 conference is English. All presentations, posters and contributions must be exclusively in English.

Oral presentations

Venue

Each room will be equipped with a notebook computer connected to a LCD projector. It is strongly suggested that all speakers intending to use their own computer test the connection to the projector before the beginning of their session. A member of staff will be available in each room to assist the speaker. Speakers requiring other audio-visual equipment should contact the conference secretariat before 30th October 2009.
Speakers are requested to arrive at their session room at least 20 minutes before the presentation.

Presentation time

Contributed papers: 15 min (12 min talk + 3 min Q&A)
Invited papers: 25 min ( 20 min talk + 5 min Q&A)
Keynote papers: 40 min

Poster presentations

Paper title, author(s) name and affiliation should be displayed on top of the poster. Text, illustrations, charts and pictures should be clear and visible.

Poster size: maximum A0-portrait (w:84 cm x h:120 cm)

The poster area is located outside the convention hall. Each poster should be affixed on the board allocated by the conference organizers as indicated by the paper ID on the board. Presenters are responsible for mounting and removing their posters. Poster presenters should prepare double-side tape to adhere your poster. The posters should be ready for presentation 30 min prior to the beginning of the poster session.

Presentation time

The poster presentation time slots will be made available together with the detailed programme at a later date. Poster presenters are required to stand by their posters during the poster session; they are also encouraged to actively engage participants in constructive discussions. There will be no audio-visual equipments for poster session.

Note: A limited number of posters will be selected for outstanding quality. Presenters of Selected Posters will be kindly asked to deliver a 5-minute on stage presentation of the work before the beginning of their poster session.
